Sandra Canselier decided to follow in her family lineage of shoemakers, moving from the French countryside to New York City to start Coclico, a line of footwear for women living modern lives and seeking effortless design. In 2006, Canselier partnered with Lisa Nading, a designer committed to making Coclico ecologically conscious. The collection's logo is the poppy flower, "coquelicot" in French, and the line is primarily inspired by nature - meant to bloom with time and wear, just like the poppy flower.
